Thoughtful Eye Care. by Rima A. at InsiderPages
Unlike other visits to the optometrist, Blackstone's optometrist takes his time with his patients, so much that he recommends a 2-visit checkup to test out any new eye prescriptions. Being a patient with slight astigmatism, I was given the opportunity to try out two brands of contacts for a week in order to find the right fit and vision. During the routine is it clearer here, or is it clearer there? session, I didn't feel the pressure of getting the right answer as I do with other optometrist. The Blackstone optometrist was very patient and thorough in double-checking your vision prescription. The eyeglass selection is pricey, though, with average frames costing $200. I also wouldn't recommend buying disposable contacts from them, since they overcharge for certain brands. I recommend coming here to get a prescription, and then going to an online contact lens supplier to purchase your contacts.
