Taco Tuesday Treat :)
While many flock to Fred’s for Taco Tuesday, a favorite of mine, Tuesday or not has to be Café Coyote in Old Town. With margarita specials and excellent tacos at exceptional service for how busy the restaurant is either Tuesday or not, the expansive Café Coyote served delicious drinks and hot chips in no time at all! Tacos were well prepared with fresh ingredients and while were served quickly still tasted like they were made fresh! While the mariachi band may be completely kitsch and touristy, local or visitor head to Café Coyote for a traditional taco Tuesday that won’t disappoint!

Fun restaurant
Cafe Coyote has excellent Tuesday deals. $2 tacos! Their tacos are quite good too. Their food isn't absolutely amazing, nothing to write home about, but it's worth going to if you're in Old Town. Prices are pretty standard for the Mexican places in Old Town. Every server I've had has been very friendly and the food comes quickly.

The atmosphere is nice, pretty stereotypical Mexican. They do have a little tortilla stand outside that's AMAZING. Cinnamon tortillas are probably the best thing ever created. YUM! And they're really cheap, 2 for $1 I think.

I would go to Cafe Coyote again gladly, but it's not a place I seek out if I have other options.

Cafe Coyote--Mexican at it's best!
I have been here several times in the last few months, and have enjoyed my meal on all occasions. We typically get down here on weekends, which, in Old Town, is a tough time to find parking. Aside from that, the wait goes very quickly and their staff is most friendly.

One thing I love about Mexican food is how quickly it's served! While you are still chowing down on the nachos on the table, they bring your meals out, steaming hot, and set them down for you to drool over : ). Their fajitas and burritos are amazing, as well as quesadillas, and carne asada nachos. I haven't ever had anyone that I took there complain about bad food either : ).

One other negative thing is that it is typically very loud in there, so not necessarily the best place for a quiet dinner.

But, overall, family friendly, good food, good margaritas, and lovely atmosphere!

AWESOME!
I'm very picky about my mexican food and margaritas. In Virginia Beach, nothing touches Guadalajara's. This place in extremely close but their hand-made fresh tortilla's throw them a big bonus point! I will go here forever, great atmosphere, friendly prompt service, and great value. A must eat location!
