I first came here for my friend's b-day bash. When I arrived I was greeted and I told them I came for my friend's bday party, they sat me down and gave me a menu. I looked at the menu and saw that there were fajitas, quesadillas, enchiladas, tacos and so much more. I decided to choose the fresh mex quesadilla, I had a choice between chicken and marinated beef. I love chicken so I decided to go with that. When my food arrived it was a good portion size. It could definitely feed two people, even three, but for a hungry person like me, it definitely was fitting. I thought I could tackle eating it all myself but it obviously won because I had left overs. It was super delicious and the sour cream and guacamole was super fresh. Also, the ingredients within the quesadilla was very good. The chicken was moist, the cheese was melting and super delicious, the salsa muy delicioso!!!Need I say more, if your hungry for mex, definitely come here!!!

This Chevys Fresh Mex restaurant is nicely situated in Mission Valley, close to the Borders and Old Navy. It is a cheerful, colorful Mexican-inspired chain restaurant.

We have never had to wait long for a table and the staff is always friendly. As for the food, it is not the best and certainly not gourmet but it's good and typical of what you would expect for a chain restaurant. If you like to eat fajitas, I would recommend their mixed grill which will contain an assortment of their meats plus their shrimp.

FYI, for those with kids, the restaurant is currently offering a special of where kids can eat free on Tuesdays with the purchase of an adult entree. We haven't taken advantaged of this but it sounds great, doesn't it?

In December 2010, my friend will be participating in a half marathon in support of the Crohn and Colitis Foundation. As part of her efforts to raise funds for this cause, she partnered with Chevys Fresh Mex to assist in her efforts. Chevy™s provided her with coupons she distributed to her friends and family. My friend held her fundraiser event this past Friday at the Chevys Fresh Mex in Mission Valley. The food was tasty and prices were very reasonable. The atmosphere was fun but service was very slow. It took an hour for my friends husband™s order to arrive. When it finally did, it was the wrong order. In addition, we waited half an hour for our waitress to take our order. Thankfully, company and conversation was excellent. Oh, and I heard from two guests who attended the event that strawberry margarita was incredibly delicious!

This place is fun to go to. My friend and I went there on his birthday and he walked out with a sombrero. (Mexican hat) The food is up to par. It is good for children. I love this place.
