I've purchased eyeglasses at least a few times from this Lenscrafters shop. They regularly send out coupons in the mail, but if you are a member of Auto Club, the discount you receive with your Auto Club card is better! Their optometrists do an extremely thorough job testing your eyes as well as test you for glaucoma, test your peripheral vision. They have a wide selection of frames, and options, such as tinting, super thin lenses, scratch proofing, etc. I had a woman saleswoman there who was phenomenal. I have a hard time finding what I like. Small decisions are hard for me. I basically told her what I wanted and she grabbed a frame. Believe it or not I just loved it. This has never happened before. Anyway, she was there a couple of years ago and shared with me she was going to law school. Most of their salespeople are okay, just be clear what you are looking for. They do stand behind their glasses. They offer insurance but it does not cover loss of your glasses.

I now have contact but obtained them through a trial, so I'll return to Lenscrafters when I need another pair of glasses for just in case.

PROS: Wide selection of frames, thorough eye exams, take Auto Club card or coupon
CONS: Salespeople vary; some good, some not so good
