After having my stylist of 4 yrs ruin my hair this past weekend, I freaked out and googled until I found the best color correction salon in Los Angeles. Based on reviews on this website, I desperately called Gillian Bissette today and was able to be seen same day. I knew that the colorist would do a wonderful job, but she far exceeded my expectations. I saw Dulce, who transformed my almost black and white striped (skunk) hair, back to the brown and golden blonde highlights that I am used to rockin. She was so patient with me, knew exactly what I wanted, and (more importantly) what she had to do to get me there. She spent almost 6 hours with me, and I didn't mind a single minute of it. She went over and over my hair, making sure the color was perfect. She even asked kindly if she could correct the cut which of course I happily obliged. I walked out of the salon today completely relieved and transformed. Any woman knows how horrible it can be to have their hair ruined, and also what a relief it is to find someone who has the expertise and patience to make it beautiful again. Many thanks to the salon, and to Dulce who worked her magic on my hair today. I will definitely be coming back to this salon again.

DULCE DULCE DULCE!!!!! I never write reviews. Blonde is tricky.....I have been to pretty much every renowned colorist in LA and I tell you not one has even come close to bringing me the results that I got after visiting this very chic salon in Brentwood. It was not an easy job, but Dulce made it seem effortless to correct my color. The minute I met her I felt I was in good hands. I could tell by the finished result that she really listened to me and her knowledge of color really impressed me. She took me to the very level of blonde I was hoping for with very little damage and did not try to push product on me. I can't wait to spread the word about this wonderful salon and will definitely be back when my roots start coming in . So far I can only vouch for Dulce, but I hear everyone there is extremely knowledgeable about color. Next time I am going to get a style as well. I will keep you all posted!

Recently visited the Gillian Bissett Salon and got a beautiful hair-cut and hi-lites! The ladies that work here are wonderful! They are polite, professional and truly genuine, sometimes a hard find in Los Angeles!

Overall I am dissapointed with my experience here. I thought I'd give it a try due to all the raving reviews. I asked for Dulce and wanted help with my dark hair that I had been dyeing at home for the last year. She convinced me to get highlights, which I was very hesitant to do since they always turn out brassy. Nevertheless, I went forward with her suggestion. In the end I disliked it very much, but she insisted it looked pretty. I forked over the $200 (and with no style... that was an extra $50!). She was very nice, as is all the staff there I met, but I just don't think it is worth the money. I did ask for a portion of my money back which she did not do. She did correct it though with color glaze / toner and I felt satisfied when I left since it had improved, but now that a couple weeks has gone by, I can still see the rusty red highlights coming through and I am just not loving it. ... I should love it for $200. My advice is to know exactly what you want walking in and don't be afraid to say no to their suggestions.
