Yes, we loved the Cabins again! We live just down the hill in Apple Valley and we were delighted to find such a beautiful place to stay in Big Bear that is so close to home. This was our third visit to Golden Bear and we stayed in cabin #6 'Pooh's Corner'. Since it is one of the pet friendly cabins, we again brought our 10 year old poodle. We enjoy the convenience of the pet yard for her at the back of our cabin. As always the cabin was immaculate and very cozy. It was decorated just perfectly with mountain-like decor. When we checked in, the same family staff was so friendly and professional. They always treat us like family, and we ended up staying an extra day again. The rates are still reasonable, so we were able to afford to enjoy lots of Big Bear Lake activities. We always brag to our friends and family about Golden Bear. They now stay there too, when going to Big Bear for their getaways. Thanks again.

We have going to Golden Bear Cottages for 25 years and continue to go back as much as time and money permits. The owners - are all the nicest people. They bend over backwards to help you have the best experience staying with them. The cabins are always very clean and well maintained as is the entire six acre resort property. With the heated pool and spa, horse shoe pit, basketball court, ping pong, volleyball court, and play ground its easy to keep as active as you want. If you want to relaxe you can BBQ next to your cabin or sit in the pool or jacuzzi. We like to sit by the pool and play Yatzee. We highly recommend staying at historic Golden Bear Cottages and tell all our friends and family if they are in Big Bear they should stay at Golden Bear Cottages!!! We joined their Vacation Club last visit so we can return to Golden Bear more often!

My family and I reserved a large cabin for Thanksgiving. Golden Bear Cottages charged our credit card for the deposit when we made the reservation. Months later when we stayed and they charged our credit card the other 1/2 of the bill.
Once home, we did not have a chance to go over our credit card statement since it was around the Holidays and we had many visitors from out of town. Later we found they charged us a third time (HUNDREDS OF DOLLORS over what they should have.)
I contacted the office and faxed copies of credit cards statements their Office Manager but she is not returning calls and HAS NOT REFUNDED OUR MONEY. Although she could see THEY OVERCHARGED us, she said we should have contacted them sooner.
Since then, we have found MANY other individuals posting reviews that had their DEBIT OR CREDIT CARDS OVER CHARGED! Seems they have a habit of this!
I would NOT RECOMMAND staying here!

We enjoy the serenity and agree with Golden Bear owner's approach to preserve the beauty of California's pine forest. A must to visit when traveling to Big Bear Lake.
