<b> Overall:</b> my wife just decided to try this place so that her visiting father could eat oatmeal for breakfast. a funny reason, but who can argue with the amazing few of the ocean and the peaceful feeling of la jolla. I must say that on the outside the hotel looked old and not to spectacular, but once inside, you really see why this hotel has survived over the years. unique architecture and gorgeous views <br /><br /><b>Value:</b> the breakfast menu was a little expensive, but what can you expect from a man who love denny's.<br /><br /><b>Service:</b> we had an excellent waiter who really did run around trying to serve 9 people excellently<br /><br /><b>Quality:</b> the food was fine, nothing special<br />

This is a world class location for a beach hotel....right on the beach at La Jolla Shores and minutes away from great restaurants and shopping in the Shores area of La Jolla. There are miles of beach to walk along, and a park and playground nearby. I highly recommend this hotel, but be sure to request a beach view room.
