Music to my Ears
The Museum of Making Music..
We had a coupon in the Entertainment 2010 for a coupon of 50% off two admissions, so we used it!
Walking through the museum was like taking a trip down memory lane. Sadly and also understandably we were not able to touch a lot. The history and development of many different instruments were represented. From pianos to recorders, harmonicas to guitars interestingly were showcased and easy to view.
Inside the walking tour it was much what I had expected, but a pleasant surprise at the end made the experience even better. At the end of the walking portion the we made it passed the Do Not Touch signs and were provided with a smallish room filled with musical instruments where we could touch, play and listen to the sounds we created. I am most definitely NOT a musician, but even I could make some great sounds with the instruments we found in this room. I'm not going to list them here, lest I ruin the surprises in store for you. Have fun with it. Expect to spend around an hour or so going through the Museum of Making Music.
There is even a small gift shop here for purchasing unique gifts for the music lovers in your life.
