The sewage odor mentioned in the review from Ashley is old history. The city solved that problem years ago. I have been a Pacific Beach residents for over 20 years. We remember the stink, as do others apparently. It's hard to shake a reputation like that but it has been alleviated. That was very unfair of Ashley to post a review like that since it is such a wonderful & historic part of Pacific Beach. My wife & I were married at the Rose Creek Cottage several years ago and the wedding coordinator on site helped us arrange everything we needed. It was all very affordable and just what we were dreaming of. I would highly recommend the Rose Creek Cottage to anyone looking for a charming historic chapel. Good luck!‎

Okay, this is hysterical. I grew up in La Jolla my entire life on Soledad Mountain. Rose Creek Cottage is definitely not in La Jolla; it is in Pacific Beach (PB). It is just below the cutoff, but I am digressing. The PROBLEM with Rose Creek Cottage is that they sit just over a SEWER LINE!!! So just about every other week there was a leak down there and it smelled to high heaven. I always felt so sorry for all the brides that ended up there on one of the places, ummm, "off days." It was a family joke to drive past that place on the way home. My dad would say, "yep, I already scheduled your weddings there" and we would howl in the back seat all the way home. If YOU, the BRIDE are looking for a beautiful day, you are playing Russian Roulette with that place!!! The reason this place gets the extra star is that it was the basis of a lot of family humor. That is it.‎
