Food is great; but it is no longer the Grateful Dead bar it once was. The bartenders once were wonderful; Michael comes to mind. Now it is served by a revolving door of jerks, with piped-in bla music. The food is good, if you can get in and out unhurt. It is not a nice place. The bartenders and waitresses are not nice people. Maybe the owner should have a meal there. As it is he just hovers.

The food is great (you have to try the burger - it is simply the best), drinks are strong, beer is cold and the people are friendly. What more could you ask for? If you're anywhere near it, drop in. You won't be disappointed.

I go to the Saloon at least once a week after work to catch a game and have some beers with friends or the wife-unit. People that complain about service at this place are hosers. The waitresses are cool and they do a great job considering this is a bar, not the Bel-Air Hotel. So quit your whining and enjoy the charm of a real neighborhood tavern with local flavor and personality. The hot wings are good, burgers are good, great sandwiches (good ham, and try the Sausolito- Avacado, Cheese, Tomato on Sourdough toast) Bring a good attitude, the vibe is real chill so keep it that way!

I dropped by for a burger and a few beers on a weeknight. I would love to go back and eat more/drink more. Great atmosphere, food, service, etc. Bring your friends.

Some nights the mood is more calm than others. With tvs all around, this is the perfect place to go with friends to enjoy the food and sports watching. Service here has always been great and the prices are fantastic. Don't miss out on happy hour specials.
