Worst service ever
If I could give this place zero stars, I totally would. We had a party of 7 and they decided to charge us 30% gratuity. Are you effin' kidding me? I'm happy to pay 15-18% (the server, Nina, was very nice and sweet) but 30% is a little presumptutious no? When we pointed out the unethical addition to our bill to the girl at the front desk, "Machele", she got very rude and said, "well it's not my business." Little girl, if you work there and you want to keep customers happy and coming back, you better make it your damn business. Some other guy (Shawn?) came over and tried to tell me that this was for a room charge. I informed him that no one had told us there was a $25 room charge AND we did not even request a room! He then started yelling and saying, "Is this illegal?" WTF?

To be honest, I would have just let the matter go before this point in the conversation but because of their poor attitudes, I had to raise my voice and get my point across. I pointed out that they could take their measly $25 now and lose repeat customers, or they could adjust the difference and not lose business. At the end, they did credit back our card the difference but because of the crappy customer service (or lack thereof) the damage is already done.
I posted a truthful account of what happened on another review website. Today, I received a private message from that same hostess who proceeded to cuss me out and also said that no one at Tomikawa welcomes (and I quote) "f*cking stingy Chinese f*ckers!"
The low level of professionalism at this establishment continues to astound me. Now they have resorted to thuggish behavior!
