Nasty attitude; sounded very sketchy/dishonest on the phone.
Called the them up and got quotes for services. A bit later, I asked if he could e-mail me the same quote. (I've had bad experiences where mechanics give a bill far in excess of the quote, so I wanted this to be on paper.)
First he simply refused (pretending that it was somehow not possible to e-mail a quote), but when I suggested he just write up an e-mail, in a milli-moment he turned argumentative and offensive. I just said "thank you" and hung up. Took my business elsewhere.
How I interpret this? Either the guy's just a jerk, or he likes to play "fast and loose" (i.e., dishonestly) with his quotes. Perhaps he does not like to stick to the quotes? They lost my patronage, for one, and I'll be sharing my experiences with other locals.
